Remedy Quarterly

In late 2009, I used Kickstarter to launch my food magazine Remedy Quarterly, the culmination of my passions for food, design, and print. Inspired by community cookbooks and the idea of sharing time-honored recipes, each issue of Remedy Quarterly shares food memories and the recipes that inspired them.

As a writer, independent publisher and designer, I oversee all aspects of the magazine from contacting contributors to designing each page to putting the stamp on the envelopes. The emotional appeal of food stories and recipes has garnered attention from Apartment Therapy, Design Sponge and ReadyMade magazine and is now internationally distributed.

Each issue is 48 pages and printed in 2-color offset, not unlike the old community cookbooks that inspired me. Remedy is printed on 100% post-consumer recycled FSC certified paper in one of the most green print houses in North America.
